All of the following NetworkTV solutions were implemented in conjunction with Systems Integrators. NetworkTV is only available via channel partners.

Network Rail

Background: Network Rail own and operate the railway infrastructure in England, Wales and Scotland covering 20,000 miles of track, 30,000 bridges and viaducts and thousands of tunnels, signals, level crossings and points. Network Rail also manage rail timetabling and 20 of the largest stations in England, Scotland and Wales.

Solution Overview: This NetworkTV installation is in the new Network Rail central London HQ and comprises a NetworkTV Live DVB Gateway running eight DVB-T2 tuners which deliver live news and broadcast channels via set top box decoder units to large format displays in reception, communal and office areas. The system delivers live Freeview channels such as BBC News, BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Users in each room have the capability to choose channels and audio levels via SY button panels or via the handheld remote controls. Alternatively, the Administrator can choose what content or channels are displayed on each TV from the NetworkTV Admin UI.

The NetworkTV system also includes two HD H.264 encoders that encode the internal marketing material, training videos and corporate information output from two Scala digital signage players. The system creates two internal Network Rail TV channels and adds these to the channel line up on accessible by each display.

Creative Artists Agency (CAA)

Background: Leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) represents many of the most successful and innovative professionals working in film, television, music, video games, theatre, sports and digital content, and provides a range of strategic marketing and consulting services to corporate clients.

Solution Overview: The world’s leading talent and sports agency, were relocating to a larger building in Hammersmith to cater for their expansion plans following a lease expiry on their previous building and wanted to create an environment with a “wow factor” for their high profile clientele. NetworkTV was specified to deliver terrestrial and satellite HD TV streams with the capability to deliver content to a large number of displays and video walls via our set top box decoders. The system is integrated with a button panels for local control.

Incite

Background: Incite are a Market research organisation that provide consumer insight, marketing planning, brand consulting, brand planning, innovation strategy and data analytics to a wide and diverse range of high profile clients. The company was founded in London in March 2000 and has offices in London, Singapore, Shanghai, New York and San Francisco.

Solution Overview: The NetworkTV system installed at Incite’s corporate HQ in central London is a sophisticated solution providing a combination of live TV channels, recording and video content management. The primary use of NetworkTV is to record market research sessions that have been commissioned by a range of Incite clients. The session streams are recorded using a PTZOptics 1080p PTZ camera connected to a couple of HD encoders that are streaming the video live in low bit rate and high bitrate. The streams can be watched live as well as being recorded into the NetworkTV content library. The recordings are then downloaded onto USB memory sticks at the end of the sessions and then given to the clients. The system also allows remote clients are also capable of watching the research sessions from the low bit rate streams. The control of the recordings is via an iPad admin app linked to a Crestron Controller. The NetworkTV system also provides a number of live TV channels including BBC News HD, CNN and ITV that are streamed to set top boxes which are viewed on large format displays in meeting rooms and communal areas. Users can choose or change the channels via an SY button panel that is linked to the set top box.

Silicon Valley Bank

Background: For more than 30 years, Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) has helped innovative companies and their investors move bold ideas forward, fast. SVB provides targeted financial services and expertise through its offices in innovation centres around the world. With commercial, international and private banking services, SVB helps address the unique needs of innovators.

Solution Overview: The NetworkTV system installed at SVB’s corporate HQ in central London provides a combination of live TV channels, recording and video content management. The primary use of NetworkTV is to stream and record meetings to internal users as well as remote SVB sites. The session streams are recorded using a PTZOptics 1080p PTZ camera connected to an HD encoder that’s streaming the video live. The streams can be watched live on PC’s and large format displays as well as being recorded into the NetworkTV content library. The system also allows remote meetings to be encoded and streamed across the SVB office in London. The control of the recordings is via an iPad App linked to a Crestron Controller. The NetworkTV system also provides a number of live TV channels including BBC News HD, CNN and ITV that are streamed to set top boxes which are viewed on large format displays in meeting rooms and communal areas. Users can choose or change the channels via SY button panels that are linked to the set top boxes.

IHS Markit

Background: IHS Markit is the leading source of information, insight and analytics in critical areas that shape today’s business landscape. IHS has been in business since 1959 and became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange in 2005. Headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, USA, IHS is committed to sustainable, profitable growth and employs approximately 9,000 people in 31 countries around the world.

Solution Overview: This NetworkTV installation is a NetworkTV Management Server with a NetworkTV Live DVB Gateway running eight DVBS and S2 tuners which deliver live news channels via set top box decoder units to large format displays in reception, communal and office areas. The system delivers live Freesat channels such as BBC News, BBC1, CNBC, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera and CNN. Users in each room have the capability to choose channels and audio levels via the handheld remote control or the Administrator can choose what content or channels are displayed on each TV from the NetworkTV Admin UI. IHS also has the capability to upload their own video and audio content into the NetworkTV Library Archive to provide the capability for users to access internal marketing material, training videos and corporate information.

Computershare

Background: Azure recently worked with Exmoor Technology Ltd to install NetworkTV into the offices of Computershare in Bristol to deliver Freeview TV across the site. The NetworkTV IPTV system replaces an AMX Endeleo system that was unable to provide DVB T2 high definition channels.

Solution Overview: The system comprises a NetworkTV management server and DVB Gateway terrestrial T2 quad tuner headend and is delivering a selection of Freeview TV channels including BBC News HD, BBC One and ITV over Computershare’s existing LAN infrastructure. Computershare has been able to save a significant amount of money in the upgrade because of NetworkTV’s flexibility: firstly, NetworkTV was able to utilise the existing Amino set top boxes which decode the IP streams and output the TV channels via HDMI to 42″ LG displays; and secondly NetworkTV was also able to manage and include a digital signage stream produced by a Cabletime encoder. The management of all elements of the system is via NetworkTV’s easyto-use admin portal running in an HTML5 browser.

M&S

Background: Marks and Spencer is one of the UK’s leading retailers with a commitment to high quality, own brand food, clothing and home products offered in their UK and international stores.

Solution Overview: The first phase of the project is addressing the video content needs in their Paddington HQ Waterside building. The NetworkTV solution has displaced an older third party IPTV system from one of our competitors that had failing decoders and was only providing analogue standard definition-based TV streams. The new NetworkTV enables the capability for M&S to deliver live HD TV channels to displays across their thirteen floor building in event spaces, communal areas and offices via Network TV set top box decoders. The system is also providing a platform to encode the new M&S social media streams and deliver these as M&S social media channels as part of the NetworkTV live channel lineup. We also included customised functionality to provide a Playlist feature enabling M&S staff to create bespoke Playlists of their own content for distribution to their departmental displays. The system is also encoding and recording live streams from the main restaurant area event space when special announcements are taking place. The NetworkTV system enables M&S complete control to centrally send specific content to individual displays, groups of displays or turn all displays onto the same channel so that all employees can watch announcement proceedings live as well as being able to re-run them as video-on-demand. Further phases are planned to rollout the services to other regional HQ buildings.

Lord’s

Background: Marylebone Cricket Club – better known, throughout the cricketing world, as MCC was founded in 1787. MCC is the world’s most famous cricket club and owns the Lords cricket ground. Lords has undergone a huge redevelopment over the past few years and NetworkTV was implemented in the spaceship -ooking Media Centre to provide the journalists with live global TV channels.

Solution Overview: This system is a NetworkTV Live solution with several Gateways running DVB-S2 and DVB-T2 tuners which deliver live news and sports channels via set top box decoder units to large format displays dotted around the Media Centre as well as providing access to the channels for the journalists via their PCs.

iView

Background: iView provides services to the marketing research industry. They have 6 rooms that can be configured for different scenarios depending on the clients’ requirements (eg bar area, corporate boardroom, residential sitting room, cinema etc) and rent these to various market research companies and clients to run product research focus groups. They can have up to 6 groups running simultaneously so it can be very hectic and stressful as they try to support all of the groups of people.

Solution Overview: These rooms have AV set ups including PTZ cameras, displays and audio. The cameras in each room are routed back to H.264 encoders that have HDMI video inputs with audio feeds and are encoding at 2Mbits in H.264 video format. The multicasts from the encoders are fed to the NetworkTV server where they are stored in the integrated library archive. iView downloads the recorded video to USB sticks to give to the commissioning client after each session. The recordings and management/archive administration is managed via a dedicated PC running the customised admin user interface that allows the client to see all the camera views and listen to the audio from each room. The customised admin UI also provides a button for each room that allows the Administrator to automatically provide a secure streaming service to a hosting partner that provides a unique logon for remote clients. There is also a capability to add audio from a Translator to the video input and stream that for recording. Each room has a client viewing room which has one way glass so that the commissioning client can see what is happening. The viewing rooms also have a large format display with an Amino set top box attached so that they can view other rooms if they have several market research sessions running concurrently. The client chooses the view they want from a button panel room controller The system also provides the capability to send a camera stream via five Amino H140 STBs in a rack (outputting HDMI) to Focusvision PCs. The Focusvision systems can then stream to their own clients over the Internet. Three AminoH140 STBs have been installed in mobile units with HDMI output to large format displays. The client can route any of the camera feeds to any of the Aminos via the management UI or alternatively they can choose the live feed locally from a hand held remote control.

ABB

Background: ABB is a leading global technology company in power and automation that enables utility, industry, and transport and infrastructure customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact. The ABB Group of companies operates in roughly 100 countries and employs about 135,000 people.

Solution Overview: The NetworkTV solution is installed in several of their office locations in Northern Italy. Each system is a NetworkTV Live solution with a Gateway running four DVB-S and S2 tuners and 4 DVB-T and T2 tuners that deliver live news channels to a OneLan digital signage system that displays on large screens in to large format reception and communal office areas. It delivers CNN to a VIP lounge boardroom area as well as other channels such as BBC News, Al Jazeera and local news channels.

Stagecoach

Background: Stagecoach is one of the leading bus, coach and train operating companies in the UK and Europe. The NetworkTV solution is installed in one of their head office locations in central London.

Solution Overview: This system is a NetworkTV Live solution with a Gateway running eight DVB-S and S2 tuners which deliver live news channels via set top box decoder units to large format display is reception, communal and office areas. The system delivers live Freesat channels such as BBC News, BBC1, Sky News and CNN.

System Concepts

Background: System Concepts provide a range of expert consultancy-led solutions that help clients resolve problems, design solutions and boost performance. Established in 1981 they offer practical, cost-effective advice, research and training to clients world-wide in usability, accessibility, ergonomics, health and safety.

Solution Overview: The NetworkTV system installed at System Concepts’ corporate HQ in central London is part of a sophisticated AV solution providing recording and video content management. The primary use of NetworkTV is to record market research sessions that have been commissioned by a range of System Concepts clients in their two interview rooms. The session streams in each room are recorded using two PTZ cameras connected to HD encoders that are streaming the video live. The systems have TVOne switching systems with approximately 30 preset input source layouts which can controlled and switched on-the-fly. The interviews can be watched live in viewing rooms and online as well as being recorded into the NetworkTV content library. The recordings are then downloaded onto USB memory sticks at the end of the sessions and then given to the clients.

LabTech

Background: LabTech provides co-working, serviced apartments, and omnichannel shopping experiences that seamlessly connect people, property and businesses with tens of millions of visitors to Camden and the West End each year.

Solution Overview: As each new LabTech building is opened, NetworkTV is installed as part of the AV infrastructure delivering TV, signage and video to general meeting areas, meeting rooms, event spaces, lift lobbies, reception areas and kitchen facilities. The NetworkTV system delivers a selection of live Freesat TV channels via a NetworkTV DVB Gateway, encoded streams from cameras and mixers in the event spaces as well digital signage. The streams can be watched live on PC’s and large format displays as well as being recorded into the NetworkTV content library. Control of the recordings is via an iPad App linked to a Crestron Controller. The iPad also manages the STBs and controls which channels and streams can be watched on which display.

Shore Capital

Background: Shore Capital was founded in 1985 and has grown rapidly to become one of London’s leading independent investment businesses becoming one of London’s leading market makers in small and mid-cap securities and established a substantial independent sales and research capability. In parallel they have established a broad range of fund management products.

Solution Overview: The NetworkTV solution has been installed in their new HQ offices in St James London. Primarily it is delivering a range of broadcast news channels from satellite DVB sources to displays in event spaces, communal areas, offices and meeting rooms via Network TV set top box decoders. Although the NetworkTV system enables Shore Capital to centrally manage channels on specific displays, it is also integrated with a number of SY button panels to allow control locally.

Bedrock/Northlight/BRT

Background: Bedrock, Northlight and BRT are companies involved in the investment markets and share a new purpose designed office suite on several floors of a building in central London. Although all three companies are located in the same building and run completely ring-fenced networks, they wanted to share an IPTV solution across their offices.

Solution Overview: Working with DCPM, he NetworkTV solution has been installed in the prestigious new offices in Glasshouse, London. The solution delivers a range of broadcast news channels from a one NetworkTV DVB Gateway headend distributing the range of satellite TV channels sources to displays in event spaces, communal areas, offices and meeting rooms via Network TV set top box decoders as well as providing the live streams to PC users. Although the NetworkTV system enables all three companies to centrally manage channels on their own specific displays, it is also integrated with a number of SY button panels to allow control locally.
